Usage Analysis and Staff Council

The term "software usage analysis" may raise concerns about employee monitoring. Lan-Inspector can identify computers on which selected executables run for a large proportion of the working day. Where a staff council or other employee representative body is involved, the scope and purpose of the collected usage data should therefore be agreed in writing. The intended purpose of usage analysis is to identify unused software and unnecessary license expenditure in the network.
