Appendix: Optional Agent Installer

Normally, Lan-Inspector distributes its client components automatically and also manages their version levels.

If permission problems prevent automatic deployment, an agent can also be installed manually so that its inventory data can be collected. The installer package can also be used to configure the e-mail agent function, for example to inventory field notebooks even when they are distributed around the world.

You can find the agent installation packages in the “__LaniAgent_ManualSetupPackages” directory of the original installation archive.
